A quick, last minute Illustration Friday!
This week's word "burst" made me think of the book 'Fetch' I made as a project while studying at eca, which you can see here: http://kathleen-m-illustration.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/fetch-screenprinted-version.html
I've been thinking for a while that I would like to work on this idea again some day but in a style more suited to picture books. This is a fairly quick reworking of the spread where the dog thinks he sees his ball but pounces on a balloon instead.
Ha ha! The dog certainly looks a bit startled! Great image, & the concept for the book is fabulous!! I like how you used color for only the ball (or what he thinks is the ball) there!
